We included 50-60 and we applied common law. I think ours is pretty straightforward as well, and the advantage of coming from a country that seems to get high approval rates (America). I may have over did it... but I wanted a better safe than sorry thing.

Is there a list of this "high approval rates" for countries? I'd like too see it if possible.

Not that I know of... it's just kind of known that for countries like Britain and the United States it's easier to immigrate because there is a lower chance of fraud considering the countries are about equal in opportunities for healthcare, quality of life, etc. At least it seems like a widely accepted outlook. Nothing official I don't believe.

There's a table that shows more detailed processing times and approval rates by visa office. I think it's this one, but it's not downloading for me at the moment so I'm not quite sure.

For our common-law application we included around 20-25 photos... all the pics were printed via a Word document, a couple photos per page and a caption explaining what they were and the date taken. We ensured the pics showed dates from the very beginning of our relationship right up to the point we submitted the app. They all involved us hanging out with my friends, her friends, my family, her family, us taking vacation together, and a few of just us celebrating important relationship events (like anniversary, getting our puppy, getting engaged and showing the ring etc).

The most important pictures will be the ones with family and friends... since if you were in a fraudulent relationship you would most likely not want your fake partner to meet and get acquainted with them, and would try to keep the whole thing private.

I only had 6 photos printed a sheet of paper (maybe 8 )... And some of them were taken last minute. We are not just into taking pictures at all. And some are bad quality (too dark to see faces, etc.) I explained it in my cover letter. I added a few more in the later process. And our case is, I would say, on the boarder line between straight and not so straight cases. You don't definitely need tons of pictures. But you would want to include pictures from different occasions, preferably with family and friends. Certainly drunk pictures would not be necessary ;) Keep them to yourself. Photos are just one of the evidences required. Try to have various types of evidence.

Hahahahahaha!!!

I imagine the person in charge of checking the pictures laughing at all our silly pictures!!

We sent a lot of serious pictures like in weddings and family reunions but some others are just silly!!! We sent some out in new years, halloween, birthdays having fun and tipsy and Im telling you that person must have a blast every time he gets to open a new envelope!!

Anyway .... about how many, we went crazy and we sent like 70 pictures, just becase we didnt know how to select them or how many did they wanted so, we sent the ones we like the most, we put pics of us together, with our families, friends, etc...

I would love to be an immigration officer if only for the pictures! Growing up, I wanted to do it. I don't know what happened. :(

You wanted to be an immigration officer as a kid? I wish I was a psychologist.

I always surprise people when I say it, but yes, I did! I wanted to either be an immigration lawyer or work for immigration. Three things I wanted to be when I grew up: immigration lawyer, secretary (.... yes), or be on Baywatch. Now you're really going to wish you were a psychologist!

One last question, I didn't take that many pictures with her family at all when visiting them. (Had no idea we getting married 3 months down the road and would need it for IMMIGRATION) but I got some pics with me standing with one aunt, and then shes standing with her aunt also in the picture cause one of us had to take pictures, and we were out in public. but same back ground for each picture. Is that alright?

Oh and also we went to the Casino 5 months ago and won some money and we went out to eat and took pictures of each other and what we were eating. PIZZA. But 2 different pictures is that okay also or not really? Or just print it and explain for the IO?
