I have some pictures of our vacation trip this year, both on the bed drunk but snapping pictures of us (both in the photos) while being drunk. Is that okay? Or not really? Both age 29, so I guess it would be okay for a young couple to do such things? And how many can I include? I probably have 5 pictures like that. Or just include 1 or 2 of these?

I know not to give them sexual pictures, as that is pretty bad! And not for their eyes too see.

Family pictures with both of us, and wedding pictures at our civil wedding day. And most of our trips.

Thanks in advance.

If the drunk pictures are the only ones you have, then maybe. but if you have other pictures, then why would you include the drunk ones as well??? it won't prove anything to the VO as well - getting drunk with somebody is not an activity in itself, and definitely doesn't happen only with your partner around!
So - aim for pictures that show that you are a couple, and that family and friends are aware of it. Wedding pictures, family pictures from both sides if you have them, and a few of your trips. That should be enough - not reason to include the rest!

At least - that's my opinion!

totally agree with Sweden, all the other pictures beside the drunk pictures would be perfect i dont know what you want to prove the vo with pictures of you drunk ::)

If you have pictures from the wedding and from a few trips, that's more than enough. You don't need to send CIC every pictures you've ever taken together, just enough so they can see a continuing thread of a relationship between you two.

If by drunk pictures you mean falling over wasted, probably not a good photo to share. Think of it from this perspective... what if the officer that is handling your file is against that sort of thing and chooses to hold it against you? While that would be horrible for them to do and bad practice... nothing can really stop them. Now if it's just you sitting around on the bed with friends and having a party, but you're not trashed, then maybe okay. But in the end to save trouble, what you have should be enough without taking any risks ;) Good lucK!

Sweden - Thank you that was some very helpful info there.

Shiny88 - Well I had no idea it's why I asked. Shows we did drink and fool around at a resort?

Amikety - Alright I didn't put in the application yet just getting things going really.

Kiri - Alright thank you. I do have some drunk pictures while out to eat on my birthday at the table that's about it but that one is understandable!

Thank you everyone. 8)

Hey guys I'm a little concerned, my hubby and I sent in our application already. I was advise by a member here that photos that show affection/intimacy are good because it adds proof the our relationship, when we were together in Edmonton our friends ran in on us and took pictures of us, we were only fooling around so it's just me in my bra and my hubby in his undershirt, the pic is a little blurry but I did include it in our photos. Do you guys think this will affect us negatively? We have tons of others pictures, all appropriate.

If you have one picture and you're decent ( not unclothed completely), then you should be fine. I don't think the VO is going to care that much.
Good luck,

Mimi, one photo shouldn't be harmful especially if you note that friends took it and listed who they were. It's witness proof of you guys being together intimately. The most intimate photo I sent myself though was of a us kissing, haha.

SpouseVisa, out to dinner and drinking is a good photo, that shouldn't harm you at all.

Good luck!

Oh okay thank you!

We included a photo of us drunk and both brushing our teeth together, grinning like we think it's hilarious but I don't remember that moment specifically, just only from the photo ;D

So in your opinion, how many pictures is "too many"? I have tons of pics but I don't want to over do it ;D

In my opinion there's never too many if you're applying as Conjugal or have any other situation where you need to really prove your relationship. I seriously included every picture I had of the two of us together, plus screenshots of our home videos. If you're married and your app is straightforward, I think there's a chance to include just the essential photos.

I agree with Steph C - it depends on your case. We had a rather straightforward application (commonlaw), and we included about 25 to 30 pictures at maximum I think. A few with each others' family, a few together celebrating anniversaries or taking trips together, and that was it. It also depends on what else you have as a proofs - plane tickets to visit, it depends if you're living together ( if you're common law you would have to...) etc... the clue is: what does the picture say about you, how much proofs you have apart from the pictures, rather than a fixed amount of pictures.
Good luck,
Sweden

We included 50-60 and we applied common law. I think ours is pretty straightforward as well, and the advantage of coming from a country that seems to get high approval rates (America). I may have over did it... but I wanted a better safe than sorry thing.
