Dear Client,

This refers to your application for admission to Canada. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY AND FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS AS GIVEN.

Please be informed that you application is ready for visa issuance. The medicals are valid till 31-12-2010. You are requested to comply with the below instructions only if you and family are able to travel Canada within in the MEDICAL Validity date; otherwise inform our office accordingly.

*************************************************************************************************************
You are advised to print, write your file number, insert date and completely fill in the enclosed form [PHEP] and submit with the following:

- Right of Permanent Resident Fee (RPRF) for you and your spouse

- Proof of transferable funds, in your name, in the form of original updated Bank Statement [Transaction Report 3-6 months] equivalent to CAD$23,364 from your bank showing that you have sufficient liquid funds, unencumbered by any debts or obligations.

Note: Bank Certificates / Letters, Joint Bank Account Statements (where co-holder is other than your spouse) or Bank Statement if it is in the name of the Company/Business, Bank Drafts, Saving/Investment documents, Fixed Deposits and Property Evaluation certificates are not accepted as proof of funds.

The above reply form CHC states that only Original Bank Statement is accepted by CHC for visa issuing. they do not accept any Bank Drafts, savings / investment certificate or fixed deposits. while CIC website states that Proof of Funds could be in form of Stocks, bonds or in any bearer form. is there any possibility that acceptance of Proof of Funds may differ VO to VO.

Qorax explained on DD. About your TC you can get instant money at airport , even any bank will gives you instant money cash, post offices (if the post office accept TC) or any money exchange shop). TC money you can also deposite in your bank account once you open Bank account in canada.

both are secure but rate on TC will apply current exchange rate when you exchange it (if TC is in USD and you going to convert in CAD, many banks offers TC only in USD, so find which bank issue TC in CAD$ try HDFC). if you get TC in CAD$ than good just commission you have to pay when you cashed.
DD have fixed amount and you already paid comissions to the bank. so you will get exact amount what writtent on the DD.

Ma'am,

A. Don't miss-out in adding him into your application. Let him land with u & return to Oman, to join u guys later, as suitable, within 3 yrs.
B. Yes, u can show his bank statements (either held singularly or jointly with u) as your POF.

Qorax

Hi Qorax,

I am in the similar situation, I plan to show my husband's bank account for POF (He is my dependent in the application).
As you said "Yes, u can show his bank statements (either held singularly or jointly with u) as your POF."
Is there any official document on CIC website to prove it, I just want to be sure of this.

thanks
Rabia

Hi Qorax
Please clear my confusion about demand draft.
If I make a D/D from Standard Chattered bank ,the address written on it is of Royal bank of Canada & after landing I open an account in TD bank in Canada , can I deposit this draft in TD bank without any problem.
Or Should I open an account in Royal bank of Canada to deposit the draft.
Thanks.

Dear Qorax,

Please need your input on it

Which is best for new landed immigrant

TD v/s Scotia ??

Mayank
