if I remember right, for Federal Skilled Class you needed to mention how much funds you have in your application, (if not, never mind then) If you're landing, you have to show proof, as in "certified bank statement" for the last 6 months.

Hi Qorax.

I appreciate your good work and advice.

Going through your previous posts, I understand that the best way of showing POF at landing is cash supplemented with draft / TC.

If I have a plan to land only for a week time, get PR card, get back to home country and want to move permanently later. In such a case draft / TC will not be a convenient option as I wouldn't be opening any bank account in one week's stay. Plz correct me if I am wrong.

In such a scenario, should I take all POF as cash? I understand that there is a restriction on cash (10,000 limit). But if each accompanying family members is carrying cash, the limit of 10,000 CAD will be applicable for the whole family or each family member can carry cash less than 10,000 CAD with accumulative cash in excess of 10,000 CAD?

Proof of 'Landing' Funds:
-Do we take the Bank Statement or otherwise ?

How Much needed to Show at the Airport/POE :
No. of Pax ........... Funds Reqd-CAD
1 ....................... $11,086
2 ....................... $13,801
3 ....................... $16,967
4 ....................... $20,599
5 ....................... $23,364
6 ....................... $26,350
7 or more ........... $29,337

Is it necessary to carry the P.O.F. while 'Landing' ?
100%. A part of the 'Record of Landing' "Interview" is to ensure 'sustainability' in Canada by the applicant. The IO must ensure that you carry enough funds [based on LICO] which will help you settle easily, w/out any burden on Canadian Social Services. Remember, except for 'refugees' under the Refugees Protection Act, Canada doesn't offer financial assistance for any other categories of applicants.

Irrespective of the no. of family members performing the 1st landing, the entire POF [as per the chart above] must be shown to the IO at the POE. Subsequent 'landings' by the 'accompanying dependents' do not need to show the POF.

That means, whether the PA alone or one or more of his family members are 'landing' for the 1st time, the above funds are required. It's another matter whether the IO at the POE doesn't ask for it [very often that happens]. But, w/out the POF our entry can be 'Denied'. --HOW DO YOU JUSTIFY THIS STATEMENT? DO YOU HAVE ANY CONCRETE EVIDENCE THAT SOMEONE WAS DENIED DUE TO POF?

Dear Qorax
I invest my money in a land and I but a small amount of money in my bank account ,now V.O ask for POF
so I soled the land and but the money in my account to proof my fund and send the sales documents with my Bank statement

There is no restriction in carrying settlement funds, either in Cash or vide Drafts/TCs.
