Hi folks,

For study permit application, is it mandatory to attach payslips for past few months as a proof of employment? Applicant works in a small company; they pay only in cash. Hence it is impossible to get payslips from them. They do not have an HR section per se, but they agreed to provide a letter mentioning the employment and job experience on their letterhead. Will that suffice or is there a good chance that the VO will ask for payslips to be convinced of the employment?

Any insight / suggestion will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

1. You can always show a Form 16 (listed as 'optional' document on Generic visa checklist). Even if payment is in cash and below tax slabs, you can file return and show it.
2. It's not a secret as how to arrange a fake experience letter and payment slips in India and CHC is aware of it.
