proof of Funds

please tell me.what do we have to show as a proof of funds ?
bank statement ? if yes then for how many months ? OR
bank certification mentioning my account details with amount ?.
if iam a pricipal applicant but my bank statement is of my hunsband than ?

in Cic document check list they did not mention that the bank statement should be of how many motnhs ?

please advice

2. Bank statement should not be LESS than 3 months. 6 months will give u more weightage

3. Should be Bank statement and in original with complete details for transactions for the full period ... with original stamp of Bank.

4. Spouse bank statement can be used if he / she is part of application
