Proof of Funds using monthly scholarship?

Hi All,

I am an international PhD student in Canada receiving well over 12k dollars per year in funding from my university. My funding is secure for another 2 years. I have enough points for express entry. Unfortunately, I do not have 12k saved up, but can obviously support myself for the next two years.

Can my student funding somehow be used to satisfy the Proof of Funds requirement?

Highly unlikely. You need to provide as POF cash or cash equivalents balances in your bank account that are readily available for you to use, not future income. You will also need to provide a bank confirmation letter to confirm the availability of these POF.

You need to have the funds and cant show potential earnings instead of PoF. If you can qualify under CEC, you dont need to show any funds.
