Proof of funds. Should I put more?

Hi. On the simplified application, we are asked to put how much we have in funds available. I my case, family of three, I need $ 16,225.00. Should I put more than that, like $ 17,000.00 or $ 18,000.00? will that help or it won't make any difference?

What really matters is how much you can prove you have.

I can prove I have $ 16,225.00 now and I can prove I have $ 17,000.00 later.

just put the minimum amount for the family of 3 on your proof of funds. i don't think it will make a difference even if you put more than that. the immigration officer evaluates your application based on the qualification not on the money you have.

you must have the amount thats required for yourself and accompanying members of your family. All that CIC needs is an assessment that you have substential amount for your needs until you get a job after migration to Canada.
