Hi all,

I wanted to clarify this issue that if a person gets a request for Proof of Funds from CIC, do we need to show last 3 months statements in that case? I applied as a single applicant and showed 12000 income in my account during filing my PR, does it mean that my bank balance should not drop down until I get PR? Or I can use the funds and when I ll get the request, i can deposit it right way to show the proof of funds? I would appreciate if anyone can advice me on this. Thanks.

This question is pretty subjective (it depends on your financial situation), but if it's possible try to provide them with 3 months (ideally 6 months) bank statements showing the required balance. (And try to keep a few thousand $ more than what's necessary).

The more duration and higher balance you show- the more assured the Visa Officer would be of your financial stability.

To sum it up, keep the necessary money in your account for as long as possible.(so that you can show the statements as proof of your financial health). Also, You might be asked for POF again at later stages, so keep that in mind as well.

once you shpw the rpoof of fund, you can used it, but whe you land you will have toshow it again at the mmigration.cci wont go your bank to check for it, once they satisfy with it its ok, then come when you ;and

Its not necessary to show bank balance statement, u can also show bank certificate on bank letter head stating the amt u hold in ur bank account with signatures of Branch Manager, moreover, wht u showed initially can definitely be different than what u show later...no harms in the same.
