Hi again OmMONA,

Regarding your question..."passbook" is the record of transactions of our savings account & "land title" is the title of our property....
My husband just specified in his letter that he'll be receiving a certain amount once he resigns, though I think it's better if your employer can provide you a proof.

Good luck to all of us :)

Many thanks for the useful clarifications...it is really helpful...I have a land in my home country as well, I believe I will do the same.

Cheers

Hello all

The money has to be arranged.NO way out

you can show a borrowed Fixed deposit and then what will you produce at canadian airport
when you land

The funds have to be in the name of the applicants only
if it is in the name of any other person other than the applicant it is not admissible
no affidavit or undertaking will work
land/property if not in the name applicant is not admissible
Fixed deposit/saving A/c balance is accountable / shares/debentures
M funds are accepted/Insurance is secondary

Money in current account is not accepted

Now apart from the above everything else is wishful thinking

best of luck and hope you will be able to arrange funds

Hi all,

To avoid any controversy regarding this topic and eventual stamping of visa on the passport, fixed deposit accounts in the name of the principal applicant will be the most appropriate and adequate.
