i wish to apply for study permit soon.

i got a few questions here , so any experienced peeps pls help
1) Proof of funds -- what do they mean by bank statement and written documentation ???
i understand the bank statement part but not the documentation part.
how much do i really need to prove?
memorial tuiton fees are $8800 + $10000 living expenses + $3000 travelling = $21800CAD?
so i have to prove in my bank accounts that i have this amount (eg. $30 000 CAD) by loan from insurance policies, own savings, parents' salary, sister savings, etc to them for 6 consecutive months? meaning submit a statement to them everymonth?
2) Study plan?
i do not know how to write a study plan? is it a letter or what? addressed to who? ??
