Proof of Funds for Study Permit and Dependent TRV

I have a quick questions related to proof of funds. I am applying for Canadian study permit and my wife is applying for the TRV. I am the principal applicant. Is that fine if I add my wife's bank statements to show funds as a proof? I have my bank statements seperate, but I also want to include hers to show more funds.

If you dont mind sharing what was the processing time for dependent TRV? Was it paper-based or online?
