Hi,

for proof of funds, Canada.ca says the bank should issue a banking profile of the person in official letter with list of accounts, latest balance, average balance each month in the past 6 mos and list debts, such as credit card and loans.

I have no loan and no outstanding credit card balance; however, as per my bank the no liability letter can be issued to me only if I cancel my credit card or I issue a security check worth the credit limit of my active credit card. I can't cancel my credit card as I still need it for my online transactions/fees with IRCC. Also, I refused to issue a security check. I'm wondering if IRCC will have an issue on my proof of funds if the bank did not list my credit card on the letter it issued. Please help.

I am planning to just include a Letter of Explanation mentioning I have no outstanding CC balance and attach my latest credit card statement along with the letter from the bank with details of my saving account.

Will this be enough? Please help.

Thank you
