The tuition fees for my first year are around $40k, so I am aware that I need to show at least $50k as proof of funds to apply for Study Permit.

However, my program is for two years. If I were to show around $60k to $70k under my own name without any sponsors, will it suffice? Will my application will be discredited because I lack proof on how I will continue funding my studies for the second year?

I do plan to work on- or off- campus during my first year.

what is your source of funds and what proof can you show for the source of funds will be the main focus from the VO.

Most times, huge amount is discredited for lack of proof. CIC only requires you to show source of funds for the first year but the main theory here is, what convincing proof can you show for your 50k - 70k.

Don't just place your mind in working to meet some needs in Canada cause somethings are contradicted by unpredictable occurrence. Make sure you prepare yourself before leaving home
