Dear All,

I am bit confused on how much money to show. I am living with my wife and a child, making total of three.

As per CIC website, we need $18,825. There is also a provision at the end of the table: "For each additional family member $3,314", what does that mean? For a family of three, we need to show just $18,825 or $18,825+3*$3,314 = $28767?

Can i borrow money from relatives, and deposit to my account or make transfer to my account? When a large sum of money has been deposited, would they accept such bank statment? Any ides?

Regards,
Narayan

$18,825 is the amount to have.

You cannot borrow money to meet the required funds, they must belong to you. If your relatives are willing to gift you the money then you can obtain a gift deed stating that the money is a gift and that they do not expect it back.

If you want to do the above do more research on the forum, there are templates of gift deeds.
