Hi Guys from Spain!

I´ve applied to an intensive english course to enter to my choose program "Civil Engineer", ´cause my IETLS score is not enough to take directly this program, for this reason i have to.

Well, this program take 2years and 6 month plus 4 months to english course. My husband go with me, and he will apply to Open Permit. I don´t know how much money I must proof: Only first year or all study period? I support myself with my earnings and, obviosuly if my husband can work he is going to support the differente cost of living.

Somebody who could clear me this doubt.

thanks so much!

You can't use your husband's future earnings in Canada as proof of financial support.

If you are applying alone (and your husband will apply for an OWP later) - then you should show a bank account with enough money to cover: English course tuition + first year Engineering course tuition + $10K living expenses + $2-3K travel expenses.

If you are including your husband in your application, then I would add $5K to the total above.

Let me tell you in a very clear way...

1. as your course is of two year and 6 months... you can pay 1 year tuition fee in advance in rest 1 and half Year fee that you will paid later can be shown in form of Liquid cash in your A/c and/or husband A/c. A/c can be Saving or current. you can also show this with Fixed deposit in ur A/c. i don't know fixed deposit like bank facilities exist in Spain as i am telling you from Indian Banking system point of view. OR/ you can pay the 1 semester tuition fee in advance and rest fee can be shown by the same method as mentioned above. you need the following proofs to submit in embassy as a proof of your balance fee that u will show in Bank A/c a.) A/c Statement of funds b.) A/c Passbook photocopy (all pages including first and last) c.) letter/ certificate from bank mentioning your A/c type, A/c no., balance in A/c Euro and equivalent Canadian $. thatch it.

2. you also need to show your your 4 months English course fee that you have for paying later... same can be shown in A/c as mentioned above.

the above information was all about TUITION FEES...

BELOW detail is all about LIVING EXPENSES and how to shown to embassy...

3. as you are going for 2 year and 6 months course and 4 months extra English course...

now you have to to prove embassy that you have the funds to support you and your husband for the entire period of 2 year + 6 months + 4 month= 3 years in total.. this does not count this that your husband will get open work permit by law, that a later part when u get land in canada and then your husband will get open work permit but initially for visa purpose you have to shown the Living expenses funds for your entire course duration = 3 years..

so if we talk about the how much you have to shown for 3 years ,, i would say CAD $ 10,000 @3= 30,000 in Bank A/c in cash form ...

or you can apply for GIC of CAD $ 10,000 as a proof of your 1 year living expenses in Canada.......... and don't need to show for whole 3 year but i don;t guarantee that i will left the strong impact on Visa officer that you are financially capable to support u both for living.

so what u have to do now..

1 Semester/ 1 Year Tuition fee in advance ( get fee receipt from ur Uni. after payment) + CAD $ 20,000 CASH in A/c for one year living expenses of both of you + show Balance fee in cash form in bank A/C (ur a/c and/or ur husband a/c) ( VERY STRONG FILE)

2. 1 semester / 1 year tuition fee in advance ( get fee receipt from ur Uni. after payment) + CAD $ 10,000 (your living expenses) + CAD $ 10,000 (your husband living expenses) in Bank A/c + show balance fee in the form of education loan from bank (VERY STRONG FILE)

3. 1 Semester tuition fee in advance ( get fee receipt from ur Uni. after payment) + CAD $ 10,000 just for living expense ( NOT STRONG FILE)

you require the following paper proof for your A/c

1. your and/or your husband A/c statement + A/c Passbook Photocopy (all pages including first and last) + Letter/ Certificate (applicable for single A/c and multiple a/c)

need further query ,,, kindly ask..
