Proof of Citizenship question

I'm applying (outland) for my infant daughter's Citizenship certificate. The application states that I must send in original or certified copies of 2 forms of ID, one with a photo. The only photo ID my daughter has is her passport, and we need that to cross the border into Canada as we frequently do. The CIC website estimates a 9 month processing time, and we plan to travel at least twice in those 2 months.
I have filled out the application and paid the fees online, so I wish to get the application sent soon.
What can I do??

Send them a certified copy of the ppt - you need to go to a lawyer/ notary who will make a copy and certify its a copy of the real deal.....this way you get to keep your ppt.

Can't you and family get a nexus card and then travel between the two countries? You and family only need to send photocopies of passports.
