Proof for Tax exempt foreign income

Hello,

I have recently shifted to Canada and worked here for 8 months. when I filled my taxes for 2018, I declared my Indian income as exempt from taxes in Canada on line 256 and 405. I have received a review letter from CRA stating to provide proofs for Tax paid and income earned in India. Please can some one help telling me what exactly I should send to CRA. eg. ITR, form-26AS anything else.

Was this income earned before becoming a tax resident of Canada or after? What type of income was it? It's unlikely that it qualified under line 256.
