Can we regestistered for Ontario P.Eng and Then transfer to Alberta P.Eng without any prob when landed .

Looks like its easy to registered in Onterio compare to Albetra ?

What was your NOC code?
If you have engg experience,then you can sit for P.eng exam in canada.

I have applied for 2133 NOC.

how can I prepare in advance for the P. Eng. Test for Alberta?

can I give the exam prior to landing? if not, how I can prepare myself for this exam?

is there any pre-requiests to get this license?

any advice would be very much helpful.

Assuming that you are an Engineer, you must have Bachelor Degree and 4 years professionals experience (including 1 year Canadian Expereince under the supervision of Ontario Professional Engineer) to become eligible to sit in the exam in Ontario. After 6 months of succesful exam, you may get license. Therefore you need minimum 1.5 years or more to get license in Ontario assuming that your Bachelor degree and 3 years non-canadian expereince is acceptable to PEO.

If you get Ontario license, you can get Alberta License fairly easily.

One year Canadian experience is required in Alberta P.Eng (APEGA). Also we need to pass Ethics and Engg Laws (NPPE) exam. If you have less than 10 years experience then you need to pass Technical Exams also.

I already have 10+ years of experience.
Plus if I will apply anyway after 1 or 2 years later. so are you sure if i have 10+ years experience then no need for technical exam? I couldnt see this in the APEGA website.

Also, where can i find the practice material for law and ethics exam?

as per my understanding from APEGA website :-

1-i need to become a member of the association (possible only after landing). Need to pay membership fees.
2-register for the exams relevant for PEng & pay this additional fee.

If we have canadian engg degree then 4 years experience is sufficient, no Tech exam. For outside qualifications, we need minimum 10 years experience to exempt from Tech exam. But we will not find this in Apega website. This will be decided by board of examiners from Apega later.

Initially we need to pay application fee and membership fee after getting P.Eng. Also we need to pay NPPE exam fee seperately. Better to apply after landing here.

For Foreign License from APEGA,
As my work experience as an engineer is based on my engineering bachelor degree. Additionally, I have MBA (Masters in Business Administration) Degree.

My question is that, If I will only mention my bachelor engineering degree and not mentioned my MBA degree to the license application, what would be consequence? Would there be problem/drawback in feature by not mentioning all the education degree?

My thought is that the MBA Degree is non-engineering course and not add value to get the License; and unnecessarily, I have to proceed for official record of MBA from University which is lengthy process, please clarify. Does it mandatory to mentioned all the education degree?

Please only shows things which are must. Do not shows lots of irrivalent education.
Prof cert syestem is in short BS here.
Its easy for some fraudster to get prof licence on basis of forged education docs and experience. Compare to genuene person as for genuene you need to follow all crap procedures. Official copy from back home. My wife asked to submit all official copy from uk and India. once it done now they asked to bring from mumbai university too. (She already submit collage official transcript) plus letter from all employer. And in India its pain in back.
It would be lot better if we didnt mention of couple of short job she did 12 years ago in India.

Yes they will ask for reference from all our previous experiences.

TTRAJAN,

The experience that we have must have to register as a foreign licensee must have references - I am ok with this but my references are not registered as professional engineers. It does say that past experience must be under the supervision of a professional engineer. In the UK you do not require to be a professional engineer to be employed as an engineer. As such, my 10 years of experience has been under guys with 20, 30 years of experience but they were not registered as professional engineers. I am concerned that I will have to start again in Canada in a low position until 4 years have past.
