Wondering about the processing times posted on the Canadian Immigration website. I am doing an Outland sponsorship. So how are we supposed to gauge when the time to take to process the PR app actually begins? Will the visa office notify us via letter that they have begun evaluating the application?

OOORRRRR, should I stop trying to put any exact dates and times to the whole process and just roll with the whole situation??

Roll with it. There is no rhyme or reason to it. It's all just guidelines.

Yeah, it's hard to tell.. someone on these forums called CIC and they said the processing time started when they started your file, which can be months after, but most people seem to get approved far faster than that, suggesting that the processing time is a total time of when they receive the file and when they finish.

But fallenstar is right.. you just kind of have to take it how it comes. Some people are approved super fast and some aren't, and there doesn't seem to be much reason to it.
