Processing Time of Background Check

Hi All. My family applied for CEC last January and we got MR last December. However, 6 months have passed since MR, but we are still waiting for PPR. Known from CIC, our eligibility and medical passed and we are stuck in background check.

Could seniors tell me what the processing time of background check is? Thanks!

Unfortunately the processing time of the background check is individual and varies from application to application. So it would be very difficult for anyone to guess how long it will take for your application.

I thought background check is done prior to issuing MR...after medicals passed i think its criminality and security check that is done which results to PPR if its ok.
