Hi All,

This is my calculation about the new immigration processing time. ie - 6-12 months time

Cental Intake Office N.Scotia - 30 days (Takes approx 30 days to receive the ack. after sending)

To submit document updates - 120 days

Will review the documents after 120 days and request for medicals with 60days notice.

Will review the med after 60 days from the med.req date and will request for passport with 60 days notice.

So the total time required to conclude the case is 270 days. (ie. 30+120+60+60). Some cases are finalised much earlier than the normal one. The reason for that may be they are highly skilled applicants.

There may be additional delays if interview is required / if they ask for additional documents / if file is transferred from one office to other.

Kindly correct if i am wrong as i am expecting my medicals by next week.

thanks
raj

My time line is as follows :
Application submitted - March 09
Documents requested with 120 days notice - 11.03.09 - Deadline date - July 11.07.09
Reviewed and Started Processing on 17.07.09 -
Further Documents requested with 60 days notice - 17.07.09 - Deadline date - 17.09.09
Submitted the further requested documents on 13.08.09.

Your calculation may be correct, but the visa office may have delays so u cant be accurate.........

Firstly, the 6-12 months clock only starts running once your local visa office have accepted the application. And you need to bear in mind that this processing time is not a promise it is only a target processing time requested by the Canadian Government.

"Will review the documents after ", "Will review the med after " - here the word 'after' does not mean that your application would be looked at only AFTER the completion of 120/60 days. If one submits before hand, then they would be reviewed earlier (ofcourse based on load).

However, if you are looking at worst case timelines, you may need to add the times taken by CHC in processing your application!!
