PCC probably means police clearance certificate. Well here is the thing, there are 2 kinds of criminal records check. One is name based that can be done in the local police station, it only needs ur name and the addresses in the last 5 years; then there is finger printed based criminal check which can be done in any RCMP commissionaire, it requires finger prints. Usually the name based criminal check is good enough for cic, however they may ask for finger print base criminal check if they found out there is someone else has a very similar name as yours, or something else that might concern cic. I did not know about the finger printed criminal check until June2013, where I already mailed my application package in April, I therefor apply a finger print based criminal check in June just in case cic require me to submit that, but haven't received such request yet.
I was told if ur case is "in process" that means ur criminal check is good, so probably no need to worry about the PCC.
Also, if u want to apply a finger print criminal check, it's definitely ur best interest to go to a RCMP commissioner to apply because they only need 2 weeks to process, whereas apply such in a local police station will take 3 months cuz they suck!! Lol
