Dear friends,

I am a new member to this forum, I applied for Canadian Immigration under the Federal Skilled worker category in the year November 2007, under the simplified application process, and after a month i received a letter from CIC that i would take 48 months to process my application, so i was frequently checking the canadian immigration site for the application processing times and up to July 2011 it was showing on the site as 48 months but now it is showing 53 months and i sent my application to the London office. Does any body has any idea why this has changed and will it change again after 53 months. It's been almost 4 long years and i am still waiting. Please let me know how long will it take to process my application.

Best Regards
Syed

Hi, I also shared the same timeline as you, I applied since Nov 07 and have not heard anything from the CIC except my acknowledgement letter. Every quarter CIC will update the processing time, mine is now 55 months it was 53 months last quarter, for the ending of the year they will increase by another 2 months, so it means every quarter the waiting time increases by 2 months totalling 8 more months per year. The initial 48 months stated on the letter is not fixed, due to the large amount of applications, CIC will continue to increase their processing time. Not sure when they will start processing your application. You should send for your CAIPS/GCMS notes.

Hope this helps....

Hi friends,

I am a 2007 London applicant, but my case file was processed in Ottawa. I received my docs requirement letter in May 2010 which was the second step. October 2010 i received my MR and i waited for my PPR till couple of months back when i realized that i was scheduled for a QA review. When i dint receive my PPR i sent them a mail and thats how i was informed that my interview is scheduled for the last week of OCtober. I just finished my QA interview. went on well. Officer has informed me that since my medicals are expiring i will have to wait for my MR request and they will send it in two weeks time after which i will get my PPR. So keeping my fingers crossed and hoping for the best.
