I sent off my application to be deemed rehabilitated for my conviction last week. It is one singular conviction for being over the alcohol limit whilst driving, which happened in July 2007. The sentence (a 12 month driving ban) was completed a year later, so I'm well within the 5 year period to be rehabilitated. I pleaded guilty immediately and there were no accidents or other complications involved in the incident. The embassy sent me some information which also stated that they are currently viewing applications made 2 months ago. I hope it only takes this long, as I heard it takes a lot longer and am really hoping to get it before I have to send my IEC 2015 application. Is this realistic? If I explain to them that I need it for February is it possible they could take pity and speed up the process?

My partner had a conviction in 2003, and then two cautions in 2008 and 2011.

Any experience on how this effects a visa to Canada?

Just wondering if anyone has had to obtain court documents while not in their home country. My husband has to submit court documents from England but he is living in Canada. Any advice how to do this at all?
