Processing Times - Permanent Resident cases: Skilled Workers and other Economic Class categories
Within 6 months of submitting your application, you will receive an Acknowledgement of Receipt. This letter will include your unique file number. Your file will be placed in a queue awaiting review. Once your file has been reviewed, we will contact you to advise the results of the review and any next steps you need to take. If your address or contact information changes during processing, you must inform this office in writing. Please include your file number in all correspondence.

Processing times may vary depending on the number of new applications received and the individual complexity of each application.

Actual processing times of permanent resident applications in New Delhi for the last 12 months.

Due to the high volume of correspondence received by this office, we are not able to respond to case status enquiries sent within the processing times currently posted for finalization of 80% of cases.
 
I have received my second AOR from CHC New Delhi on 6 jan 2011. I was advised the same information as below. the letter i recieved also clearly states that if you have got no notification within 6 months make a contact. now its 10 july but i havnt listened anything so far, should i mail the inquiry or i should wait ? i have also not received any verification call so far. i applied under nursing 3152 in federal skilled worker.

Hi,

You better try to contact them by sending email or Case Specific Enquiry because its already crossed given time on your 2nd AOR.

Nice! but i think the processing times of permanent resident applications in New Delhi is 14 months as of now.

Correct me if i'm wrong.

I think you should not send any inquiry or request because they do not reply anything. it is better that wait for processing. because I have received letter form VO in November, still I am waiting for medical.
 
They always reply unless you are not in given processing timeline.

There are people here who have been waiting from April 2010.

Hi there,

Thanks a lot for the information. I agree with you but is it alright to contact them ? Actually i ahve already sent them around. 4 mails but not for status update. I was in nz when i submitted the file to chc nd. I sent around 4 mails to inform the changes in my personal circumstances. There r rumors that if we send them excessive mails it can affect the case processing.

Any advise highly appericiated.
