I think they started your Bg check , that's good sign. Since when this message was showing in your profile ?

Mine is AOR feb 8 so , the status is same as after medical pass

My cic page:
BG: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check.

And I am pretty sure this means it's not started yet.

Now when you ask them after 6 months why is it delayed. I know there reply "Your Application IS UNDER EXTRA SCREENING" And getting reviewed further. LOL I have no clue what's gonna happen.

So our theory worked finally. Mostly winnipeg vo issue PPR either 7 days before or after 6months timeline. Hope January applicants receive their PPR in upcoming weeks.
