Process to get TRV re-stamped from outside Canada

Hi,

I am currently studying in Canada but my TRV, passport & permit were due for renewal early this year due to passport expiry. I had renewed my passport & for permit renewal process during my stay in Canada. There was no correspondence letter or document prompting a TRV renewal. Where does the TRV renewal nudge come from? Is it seperate knowledge or does IRCC ask for passport restamping in Canada post permit approval?


I had come home to India for an event but unable to get back to Canada now as my TRV stamped on the passport is the older one and i need a valid TRV to travel, what is the fastest process to get a TRV restamped from India now

There is no such thing as a TRV renewal. If expired then you apply for a new TRV. When did you apply for a TRV? A study permit extension/renewal within Canada doesn't include a TRV.
