Can someone please explain to me what happens after your get your passport stamped?
Do you get a PR card or is this stamp an immigration visa to Canada?
I am very confused what happens after CIC asks for your passport?

Once you get Passport request, you send passport to CIC.
They issue you VISA, and send your passport back to you.
You then go to a port of entry office (popular is Niagara Falls border), and become Permanent resident.
Then you get your PR card in the mail with in 1/2 months.

Mostly this happens.
