Hi all

I am a Canadian citizen, living and working in the UK. My fiancé is in India and is a dentist and a denstistry lecturer.

When we marry, we want to move to Canada together and settle there.

So here's my questions:

1. What do I need to do in order to make the Spousal PR application process move as smooth as possible?
2. How long would it take for him to get PR status from the moment we submit our application?
3. Is there anything he has to do to help the PR process move smoothly?

Those are my questions, hope you guys can help me with them!

Provide as much details as you can when applying for the PR.Keep all contact of evidence between u both i.e email, phone bills, sms, cards, any trips you taken, pics etc.Try to spend some time on the Application and make sure you dont make any mistakes....

2. How long would it take for him to get PR status from the moment we submit our application?

I assume you will be apply thru New Delhi for PR.Stage 1 of sponsor approval takes 45 days these days and Stage 2 PR approval on website for New Delhi is 10 months...It may take more or less of this time period for stage 2 depending upon the documents you provided as each and every case is different.Check my time frame on the left to get an idea....

3. Is there anything he has to do to help the PR process move smoothly?

There is nothing any one can do to help the PR process move smoothly. After the application is forwarded its wait and watch game.If New Delhi requires more documents then they will contact the applicant directly and it not things go on smoothly...Good luck
