Hi , I am canadian citizen , I sponsored my wife , 5 months of her medical exam passed and we received a Procedural Fairness Email, bc in the form I made a Honest mistake , they were asking if she was refused before, I thought they meant for pr application, so I said no .. but she was refused 2 times for visitor visa , and last one that she was refused was after sean fraser announced that sponsor application can apply for visitor visa , anyways , it was a honest mistake, my question, I am citizen our 3 years old son is citizen, can the refuse my wife? And how long usually takes after our reply for officer to answer? They gave us 30 days to reply, can you please give some information about it ? Thank you

She must respond to the letter, apologize, say it was an error and state that she had two past refusals. Give the dates and reasons for refusal. If the PFL mentions a 5 year ban then it is possible that she is banned for what is outlined in the PFL if IRCC doesn’t accept the response. There are no timelines for PFLs so once you submit the response, it can take weeks or months.
