Dear All Please help me,
We had and application as family sponsorships since August 2018, during the process I had received a procedural fairness letter, saying that my husband is ineligible to sponsor me and my son due to they find him receiving a general assistance from the government. My concern is he was at employment during the time of submitting the application and in process of CPP disability pension because he had a mild stroke attack. And the doctor find him that he couldn’t work same like before. My question is how that justify that he is in social assistance while he is in the process of Disability and he was paying taxes. What is the best way for us to answer the procedural fairness. Thanks for the answer..

You can try explaining that he was on welfare waiting to qualify for disability. Did he not have short term disability through work? Is he back to working? Are you currently working? Will you be able to work when you arrive in Canada to support your family if your husband is not working?

He was in short term disability for almost 4 months, then the doctor advise him to get in the disability since his problem is his heart cardiac problem. I am currently working in the warehouse her in the Philippines while doing my jewelry on-line business. Of course when I go to Canada I am very much willing to work to support our family. Plus I have a son 17 years old that need to finish his college. I really wanted to get and have the visa coz I am worried for whatever May happen to my husband there’s nobody will look after him. Thanks for your good response.

He was in short disability when he got mild stroke. And the doctor advise him to quit the work since it is very complicated coz he had cardio problem. I am currently working in a ware house and doing my jewelry on-Line business. I am very much willing to work when I come to canada. I really need to get my visa because whatever may happen to my husband nobody will after him.

unfortunately doctors don’t always think about your finances or other things when they make suggestions. The doctor may have said the stop working but probably didn’t mean quit short term disability and go on welfare. All you can do is explain your case. I would be consulting a lawyer to write your response.

Thank you much it’s mean a lot. I hope we can manage to finish this process and get the visa the soonest. I will wait for the response you will give us. Thanks and God bless.

think something got missed in my post. I am not a lawyer or an immigration consultant. You must seek out counsel or write a letter addressing the procedural fairness. I would suggest getting a lawyer to have the best chances of trying to get the sponsorship approved.
