Problem with Landlord

I am living in a condo and there is a very big roaches problem in my appartment I brought this into the notice of my Landlord but he is not doing anything except he gave me a silicon solutions to plug the holes from where I suspect the roaches are coming in and I bought a chemical for which the landlord paid but the roaches are still everywhere I have also other minor issues which he is not addressing I do not know what to do somebody has advised me not to pay the rent till he fixes the problem I need to know what should I do

Call the landlord and Tennant board and watch how fast he will fix your problem.
