any updates?
my freind went to ankara in 20th september and IOM office and asked about the proccesing times
one of the officers told him that the IOM started sending interview mails recently ( september )

which year they are processing 2023 or 2024 do you have any idea and which year is your friend submitted his application

Processing for privately sponsored refugees if there are no changes is around 4 years right now. There may be changes to immigration targets which would likely mean less privately sponsored refugees per year as Canada tries to reduce total PR target per year and tries to deal with the huge backlogs in refugee/asylum related programs.

The new ircc immigration plan 2026 .16000 they have cut 7000 and that is huge number is going to effect processing time

The backlogs are already incredibly long. IRCC really needs to pause new applications for multiple years to try to clear some of the backlog. Having people apply with processing of around 5+ yrs is not a functional system.

Step 1: Sponsorship application

28 months

Step 2: Refugee application

27 months i have done step one in 1 month and got approval does it mean now the processing time starts from step 2 ?
