I lived in Ontario for five years between 2012 and 2017 as a temporary foreign worker and then as a PR. I was covered by OHIP. The past one year I have been in Germany. I am moving back to Ontario in mid March. Since I have lost my OHIP I was looking at the ManuLife health insurance for visitors. I am a 37 year old male with no prior health conditions and so there were a number of options with different levels of coverage.
There is the max coverage of $150K which costs almost CAD 530. But choosing the $100K limit drops the premium to CAD 380. So wanted to ask how much coverage is usually recommended? Would 100K be enough? Other than that there is the usual coverage for ambulance, doctor's visits, emergency dental etc.
