This is my first post in the forum. My husband and I are planning to get PR for Canada. We both have taken IELTS and now waiting for our score. I wanted to know: if my husband is the principal applicant and if we get PR, then I am planning to go first, get a job and then my husband will leave his job, come to Canada with my little one and look for job there. Is this scenario possible?

[I know about job bank which gets unlocked once our application is in pool. Above scenario is only if we dont get job from here.]

Can anyone please reply.

No, dependents cannot land first. PA lands first, then dependents follow.

When you get your application approved, your husband as PA can do a soft landing with you and your child, then they go back and you will stay in Canada.

Or you can apply as PA so that you can land first.

Thanks imtxy, so in that case, after a soft visit, can he return after a week with my child?

I cannot apply as PA, because I am not expecting my ielts score to be 8.7.7.7. he still has a chance. And with him as PA, our tentative CRS comes decent.

Thanks in advance,

Yes, even the next day. Apply for the SIN and PR card then go back home anytime.
