hi,

My wife is nearly 3 months pregnant and we received PPR email today.
Email states to inform the the office in this case .

Queries

1.i want delivery in Canada , so informing about pregnancy can delay the process ?

2. What other points to consider / beware ?

Please suggest

Others can correct me but

1)no should not as far as I am at least aware make any difference until post birth if you have not landed by then.

2)assume you will take into account depending on province there will be a qualifying period for healthcare for the pregnancy.

No, this will not delay anything. You can still land as planned before you have your baby.

However, you have to make sure you have thought about insurance coverage and understood the rules in the province you're moving to. Some provinces (Alberta) will grant you healthcare immediately (I think so, not 100% sure), while others (Ontario) have a three month waiting period.

Or are you planning to have the baby in India and then move? You won't get an extension on your CoPR, and you would have to sponsor your baby through the Family Class if you did a short landing.

Read up on insurance rules, make sure you have the support you need and then move.

Good luck!
