Hi SeanDame,

There are 2 options,

Option 1) Need to take X-Ray after delivery , but only after providing the X-ray further process will take place in your file. Till then file will be put on hold.

Option 2) Out of our own risk if the panel physician and the parents are ready to take X-ray now, They can proceed with Lead aprons (which will block the radiation to baby) during X-Ray and can ask them to submit the X-ray. File will be processed as normal file.

I asked the place because , Some physicians ask Gynacologist's letter to avoid risk. Others allow by gettin a sign in disclaimer by the applicants which states any further risk by this decision is the responsibility of the parents but not the panel physicians or the hospital.

If there s urgent need of PR , option 2 can be opted. As thy are already in canada and if they will be able to stay till delivery (no visa issues) they can choose option 1.

Regards,
Sreeni

Are you positive? I thought they will process everything and just need X-ray before pr..
But put the whole case on hold for him?
He is the principal applicant, not her..

Is what you saying out of experience?

Hi SeanDame,

S Its like that, even if she is spouse applicant thy need her X-Ray to proceed further..

As you can see one live example, He gave his wife's X-ray after delivery and the medical got passed.

They needed the medicals to make final decision not to start the process. All the background checks were completed before medcial passed ( GCMS note confirmed that) . So the idea that the whole application is put on hold till x-ray is done is not true. They will process everything and hold on to the final decision till medcial pass. It is different from the paper application where medcial exams completion is requirement for background checks. In my timeline from the time medical passed to decision made was just about 2 weeks and the delay was my birth certificate request.

SeanDame, hope this suffices you.

Hi,

I agree to profk, wat i say is process is put on hold for X-Ray..either at initial or final stage.

As in ur frnd's case delivery will be in May 2016.

So if PR is not an urgent need he can wait like @profk, Els other option.

Its upto the new parents decision, but tis is the process.

All the best !

Hope u got sufficient info.

Regards,
Sreeni

No. New born babies will not have to undergo any medical tests per se.
The Panel physician (pediatrician) will just check the list of vaccinations given to the baby till the date of Medicals.

Yes. Passport (as a Travel Document) is must to be submitted to complete and submit the application.

So when you submitted your wife's X-ray, MyCIC requested your baby's birth certificate? Or do you send a CSE with family member update and birth certificate? I know passport takes a long time....is it required?

The entire application is on hold - including his case. They will not process his case until his wife is able to complete the medical. So everything is on hold until at least May.

@ RKICK, Newborn is Canadian. No medical exams and passport required, only birth certificate

@ultra99, X-ray done - 5th October, After medical passed additional document (birth certificate) was requested by CIC.

@scylla, what is your definition of the entire application? my timeline and GCMS note shows that most of the process (Criminal background check, eligibility check, SCH A request, etc ) were done. Can you say that fact that final decision is put on hold equals to the entire application been on hold. Please can you proof your statements with some facts?
