Hello seniors.

I m the main applicant and wife is my dependent.

My wife is pregnant :). We came to know just yesterday. Due date is in mid August 2016!
What are the things we should take care in our application?

My status is in-process. Applied on 3rd nov in sinp.

1. At which stage I should inform cic or sinp ?
2. Will my wife would be able give her medical exam. If not. Then what would happen to her status?

Any other thing if I m missing something.
Thanks in advance.

Congra!! As to your question, as far as I know she can not make a medical test until she deliver the baby, after that both mom and the baby have to pass her medical examination

Hi congrats
I would suggest to call any designated doctor(immigration doctor) office in your area

The medical examination must be performed by a doctor from the CIC list of Panel Physicians.

You cannot choose your family doctor if his or her name is not on this list. See the list of Panel Physicians to find a doctor in your area at: http://www.cic.gc.ca/dmp-md/medical.aspx

confirm that with them

hi congrats
you just ask to your doctor and i am sure they will allow.Just make sure you tell to X ray person about her pregnancy .X ray
person will tie her one high protective belt to protect her baby. we did same while my wife and me got medical during pregnancy to save our PR process. But final decision will be on you. (even doctor will tell you same).
Second you no need to inform anyone until baby born.if your file is in process anywhere
between sinp to Federal, and you got baby that time you have to update your family status.
good luck.

Fully agree

one more thing
Stay if baby was born in Canada, he/she is not going to do the medical for sure,
Just after baby's birth update the file and that is it, Baby will have Canadian birth certificate and Social insurance number starting with 6, baby will not need for immigration

my daughter was born in Canada, she is not going thru immigration, she already has CANADIAN PASSPORT:)

good luck

Thank you all :) :) :)
Really the forum is so helpful.

I think if I may get to the medical procedure, the protective belt way was good to not delay the pr process of my wife.

Normally you can go through medical, unless doctor says so. I was in somewhat similar situation.

Congrats with a baby!

Here are the options you have:

- If you can wait till the baby is born, and then do the medicals, then apply
- They can cover the wife with a shield, doctors don't recommend this in the first 4 months!!

If non of the above will work for you, you can submit the application to make it before the deadline, and delay the pregnancy x-ray after the baby is born "in this case you application will not be processed until they receive the full medicals"

Good luck
