Hi everyone,

Is it true that getting a PR through the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) route is easy and quick after you have done your masters (2 years) from a qualified institution in Ontario?

I have read somewhere on this forum that you don't even need 1-year work experience with a masters (2 years) from a qualified institution in Ontario.

Advise please.

Thanks

Yikes. To clarify, for the Canadian Experience Class (CEC), you MUST have at least 1 year of work experience after graduating from a program of at least 2 years. CEC is a federal program, so province is irrelevant.

HOWEVER, there is a different program, the Provincial Nominee Program (not CEC), under which you may qualify. Each province sets its own criteria.

For Ontario, there is an International Masters Graduate program -

Note that you do not have to have an employer, BUT you have to remain in Ontario (this is difficult for most people unless they have an employer.)
