Hello forum!
I finally got notice of a PR final interview! Woohoo! But there is one problem...I have pre-booked travel outside of Canada on the 55th day after the interview, and they say that I must inform them of any travel within 60 days after. They tell me that I may not be able to get back in to Canada, because I won't have a PR card yet, and they will take my visa/study permit at the interview.
They give me two options:
1. Reschedule your appointment to after you have returned to Canada from your travels.
2. Attend your appointment prior to your travels as scheduled, and apply for a PRTD once you are overseas. This is recommended for those who will be staying at an affixed overseas address for a relatively prolonged period of time, giving the issuing overseas Visa office enough time to process your PRTD application.
What do you recommend? I don't understand the second option, what are it's benefits? The place I am going to (for 6 days), is a vacation resort that I never plan to return to.
Thanks for any help or clarification!
best,
marie
