does anybody know as canada has backlog of PR application do other countries like australia and new zealand also have this kind of backlog ? or canada is exceptional ?

Australia has more ruthless backlog
 
Australia is better now than Canada as you'd get a job there without an Aussie degree which is pretty much unthinkable in Canada. Unlike Canada Australia didnt enter into recession so people haven't lost their jobs there. their immigration is done in little 1-2 yrs which is assumable from the very beginning.

On top of everything, Canada has one of world's best health plan; once the PR is granted, you'd be in Heaven !

Excitement is wearing off. Sick & tired of looking to my RBVO status for six months already. Have to divert my attention again to my Home Theater hobby otherwise, i go nuts! ;D ;D

you wouldnt hear much about getting MR's by the post june applicants coz there are absolutely only a fraction number of applicants have applied since June 2010 and after January 2011 CIC almost stopped issuing PR visas and only Post June 2010 applicants got the priority. as there have been much much less applicants applied after Post June 2010, the number of getting MR'r from are also less. so we dont hear from them as much as we used to hear from the pre June 2010 applicants.
 
I asked my lawyer about current data of visa targets n fitting of us in that he replied as follows

"We are not yet in receipt of current available targets after january 2011. New instructions are set to release soon.

CIC has started nation wide consultation to manage targets. It is likely that major decision is in pipeline."

We have to wait and wait and wait.....We are in In process almost 8 months....CHC in Colombo.
Let hope that thinks will move faster sooooooooooooon!!!!

Hi,

Not only thet have received MR but most of them already had a maple leaf on their PP. Lucky fellas!!!

but we pre june people still waiting for MR without any update in ecas. :)

hopefully we will get MR soon.
