I believe that the new MI coming out later this month or early July will place a lot of emphasis in clearing the backlog of applications. I do not have any source but i feel that's the right thing to do! If this does not happen, there is an increased danger of creating heavy backlogs which in my opinion CIC was trying to prevent by introducing caps.

I suspect that CIC will change the points system for new applications to accomodate more technicians with lower level of education and also emphasize on ages less than 35. In addition to this, accelerated effort will be made to clear backlogs.

Based on this, i recommend we wait for the new MI to come out. This will decide what step to take. I understand that several queries to the CHC only result in delay in the processing.

My opinion!

KcSider

Guys......

With the recent turn of events, you can agree that my prediction above seems realistic

I agree Kcsider .. + 1 for you.

is there any thread where we are tracking pre-june buffalo candidates?? please share that ..

my timelines in my signature.. still at RBVO after getting 2nd AOR last years Nov.

Cheers,

There is nothing to be expected until the mid Fall 2011. as Kcsider and aspirant said, my guess is they will not take more than 4-6 months to finalize all the MI-3 files after July 1, 2011 instruction and then they will work in full pace with clearing the backlog. what would be the mechanism for clearing the backlog is to be watched.

Hi,
I have a question here. My NOC is not under the list anymore, but I am a pre-june applicant.
Category........: FSW
Visa Office......: NewDelhi
NOC Code......: 213
App. Filed.......: 24-June-2010
Doc's Request.: 25-Oct-2010
IInd AOR : Feb '11
My spouse might get a job in Canada, but she is not the primary applicant. Would her job offer help speed up our PR application? She is into Clinical research
Any thoughts? Please help us out here Thanks.

Unfortunately her job would not speed up your current application.

If it's in Skill types 0, A or B and you have an approved LMO to accompany the TWP, then you can make another application under FSW2.

Since that new application would be post-July-2011 it's probably going to get higher priority than your current out-of-list 213 pre-June-2010 application.

So my advice is to re-apply on FSW2 (you can still keep your current application going). As soon as either application reaches medical request stage, CIC will ask you to withdraw the other application.

Wayne.

xylene,

what is the percentage of chance of her getting a Canadian job?
possibility and reality often can have huge distance.

Hi Wayne,
Thanks for you views. Appreciate it.

Jnathan,
Her present company in India is willing to send her to Canada on a work permit. Hoping that it would work out. I don't have much hope on my application given the changes in NOC list and the delay for pre-june 2010 applicants.

then do as cappiccino said.

Dear Captains, Please keep this thread alive and active.

I got this standard reply from New Delhi high commission Dear Sir/Madam,

This is in response to your recent email enquiry to the Immigration Section of the Canadian High Commission in New Delhi.

This application was received at our office on May 14, 2010. Since you applied as a Federal Skilled Worker on or after February 27, 2008 and before June 26, 2010 , your application will take two years or more to be processed. This is due to the fact that Canada received over 425,000 applications under this program during this period.
* Unfortunately, it will take longer to process federal skilled worker applications submitted under the first set of instructions (between February 27, 2008 and June 25, 2010) than originally projected.

* During this time, the department received applications for more than 425,000 people, and 144,000 of these have not yet received a decision.

* This number represents more than twice the number of projected admissions under the federal skilled worker program in 2011, so many of these applicants will have to wait two years or more to be processed.

If you wish to withdraw your application, you may be eligible for a refund of your processing fees

We trust that this information will be of assistance.
