Hello,

I have started filling the application for PR. Initially I was thinking that my application would be straight forward to fill but randomly getting so many doubts, questions. :(

The biggest concern which I have now is the work gap between TWO work permits. Let me try to explain you clearly. My first WP got expired on 12 Feb 2012.
Due to late processing of LMO from my employer side, It took late for me to apply WP. After I received LMO from my employer I have applied Restoration of Work Permit and received file number 21st April 2012. Finally got approval of WP on 10 July 2012.

Moreover I did not work for the period from 12 Feb to 10 Oct but I was inside Canada. I think there would be 90 days period that you can stay legally but should leave after 90 days if I did not get file number for my restoration of WP before that period. Am I correct?

Now my question is, what is the status should I put for the work gap in the PR application? I think I should mention this period on Personal History section under Form 5669. In that case, What should I fill under 4 columns Activity, City, Status and Name of company or facility.

Please provide honest suggestions. Do I need to see lawyer for my case?

Put "Unemployed" & the company "NA"

Thanks for quick reply.

Have you seen any problem or issue that CIC can reject or ask a question on my application because of the work gap?

They don't care about gaps in work. All they care is that you meet their set requirements for CEC.

That's right. The one-year work experience requirement doesn't have to be continuous.

Hi Seniors,
He applied for restoration of status after his WP expired , can he be considered on "implied status"?
If not, what will be his status?

He needs to put "Out of status, restoration". The OP is not on Implied Status and cannot work or study.

ok thanks
I did not work during restoration period and started working after I received WP status. So, Would be my case is easy for PR?

One more thing, The reason behind WP application late submission is because of late LMO approval from my employer. Should you suggest me to get a letter from my employer stating that the reason for late LMO?

Please more suggestions :)

You were not an '"Illegal" in Canada when you applied for restoration and successfully received it. So, it should have no effect on your application. That being said it will be a good idea to explain the reasoning of your out of status period.
