Hello everyone
I actually wrote before that i already have a PR, but it is expired from like 4 years ago and i didn't go back since(because i was studying) and don't meet the requirements to renew it.. My question is: I want to apply for a Phd program in a Canadian university. Can i do this with my current situation ? I mean will i apply for a student visa ? and is it normal if i already have a PR but going to apply for a student visa so i can study there.. Second part of the question is: One of the ways to immigrate as a skilled worker is to be a Phd student in Canada.. Could this help my case or i can reapply again for a PR ? Thanks

No - you can't.

You need to contact your local Canadian embassy / consulate and give up your PR status officially first.

Or alternatively apply for a Travel Document which will be refused and will lead to you officially losing your PR status.
