Hi,

Applied for PR under CEC on Aug 22, 2018
Lost job in Oct 2018
PR status - Background check in process for 3 weeks now.

How badly does losing a job affect my PR?

Sorry to hear about that buddy, did you claim points for valid job offer ?

If your R10 (document completeness check) phase is completed (usually just after a week or so), you should be fine

Sorry I do not understand.. what is R10? Is it Review of additional documents? - states "we do not need additional documents"
Also what's points for valid job offer? I have already applied for PR, waiting for background check to be complete and passport request to come through.

Thank you very much. As of the date of termination I had 1.7 years experience in Canada alone. Yes I paid the entire PR fee upfront.
