Can anyone help answer this? I am waiting for my PR Card to be renewed. there is no issue there - it just took longer than expected as I had one of the items filled out incorrectly so they sent it back. In the meantime, (before they had sent it back) I had to travel to the US so while there, I applied for and received the Travel Document. Came back and the officer put a big black line through it to show it had been used. About six weeks later, and still waiting on the PR card, I had to travel again to the US. Same thing - applied for and received the TD. This time, the officer did not cross it out. So it looks unused.
Question is: is it actually unused? They must have a record right? I don't recall him scanning or tapping on the computer at all. If it's not been crossed out is it still valid? The reason is I have to go overseas again next month and might not have time to apply for another TD. Should I risk it? What to do?
