PR Travel document do I need one?

If I plan on returning home to Europe in the summer will I need one of these to return to Canada? I was suppose to have my card by then but I had to resubmit pics so probaly won't.
Any info be great can I travel back with just my copr?

Its either the PR card or the travel document.

while I was re-entering with my friend, who had received his COPR then, I remember the officer telling him that this document that he had received with his passport wouldn't help him to enter Canada by air or water ways! he was been told to have PR card handy!

I am not 100% sure on this but do confirm before you leave!

CoPR is not considered as valid document by airport/water authorities to enter Canada. You can use that document to enter via road though.
You need to either have your PR card or travel document while returning to Canada. You can apply for travel document once you have landed in UK.

COPR accompanied with immigrant visa is a valid way of entering to canada by AIR ( This is one of the ways of doing landing) . You dont need any PR card or travel document if this is the case.

1. People have reported about 9/10 days, including mailing time from the VAC in London.

If you have already "landed", the "immigrant visa" is void and will not be any good.
