PR Status Validity

Hi Experts,
We had received our CPR in Sep 2014 , and we did our landing in June 2015. But we had to move back to our home country.
We are planning to move permanently to Toronto by April 2018. Would our PR status be valid until then?

I had emailed CIC , but didnt get any response on this? Any suggestions, who could confirm our PR status? I am wondering if I should call the Border ?

Yes but do not leave any longer than April 2018 as you will be right on the mark for not meeting residency and even coming back April 2018 you will need to stay for 2 years without leaving. I assume you all have your PR cards else you will need to each apply for PRTDs to fly back into the country.
