  • I landed in Canada In 2014 with my wife and children and have to come back after staying of one month due to family reasons at my native country. I am planning back to avail PR status. However my wife and kid cannot accompany me Right now. What I have to do in case they loose their PR status?. After completion of my PR requirement, I have to apply for the family case or they can join to me with the existing PR status

If they officially lose their PR status, you would have to sponsor them for PR. When you apply to sponsor them, you'll need to make sure that you meet the residency requirement and have lived in Canada for at least 2 out of the last 5 years when you apply.

We landed three of family members on 7July 2014, return back on 29 August 2014. One of the family member has received the PR card. Me and my son has not received the PR card as I had to go under medical surveillance. I tried my best to undergo the medical examination during my 2 month, but they asked me first get the medical card and then go for the investigations. By mean time I had to come back to my native country due to health issue of my mother-in-aw and job bond period. My husband is now going back to Canada to the meet PR requirement. I have queries as follows

1. What I have to do when i have to join my husband in future.I think i have to apply for the PRTD for myself n my minor son within the PR validity period July 2019.
2. If we will not able to join my husband within the July 2019. Then how i can join in near future. Is i Have to surrender my n my minor SON PR officially and get the visitor visa.
3. Can my husband sponsor us after the expiry of PR duration. Then we have to go on the visa processing from the start point. How much time it will take.
